The School of Development and Social Engineering (SDSE) was established as a constituent school under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pokhara University in 2009. The school has the mission to develop itself as the ‘Centre of Excellence’ in higher education in the area of development and social engineering.
SDSE aims to produce junior, mid and expert level human resources who are capable of providing leadership to the contemporary development enabling the society and the nation to achieve the desired end of sustainable development and social justice.
SDSE at present has two graduate programmes and four undergraduate programmes. The graduate programmes are Master in Population, Gender, and Development (MPGD) and Master of Development Studies (MDEVS). The undergraduate programmes are Bachelor of Development Studies (BDEVS), Bachelor of English and Communication Studies (BECS), Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development (BED), and Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Laws (B.A.LL.B.).
